Magnesium naming guide: MOS, oxysulfide, sulfate, and MgO
Magnesium panel names cause more selection errors than any other single factor on this site, because the same material family is sold under several wordings, and the wordings are not interchangeable specifications. This guide states the naming rule for this site, and every model page follows it.

The expansions
MOS expands to magnesium oxysulfide. MgO expands to magnesium oxide. Those two expansions are the starting point, and every abbreviated page on this site states its expansion at the top, so a buyer who arrives on an abbreviated search term still reads the full name.
Magnesium sulfate is the sulfate wording for the handmade MOS panel, which is listed as the handmade magnesium sulfate panel. Magnesium oxysulfide is the oxysulfide wording for the machine-made MOS panel, which is listed as the machine-made magnesium oxysulfide panel. The two wordings belong to two different models, and this site does not merge them into a single 'MOS specification' that would mix the handmade width range with the machine-made module.
Sulfomagnesium, and the oxychloride distinction
Sulfomagnesium is the project-listing wording for the panel used in the Jihua Laboratory project, and it is the wording used in the source material's customer-advice pages for laboratory rooms. It is treated on this site as a family wording for the sulfate-based magnesium panels, not as a separate model specification, and no model page is built for 'sulfomagnesium' alone.
Oxychloride is a different chemistry: the magnesium oxychloride panel. The source material presents the sulfate-based glass-magnesium panel as an alternative to the oxychloride glass-magnesium panel, addressing chloride-ion release problems attributed to oxychloride boards. That alternative framing is stated with its brochure attribution on the handmade hollow panel page and in the blog comparison, and it is never extended into a chloride claim for the standalone hollow board, for which no such claim is made.
How to use names in an inquiry
State the full name and the model, not just the abbreviation: 'handmade MOS panel, Type 50' or 'machine-made MOS panel, Type 50, 1150 type', together with the width, thickness, and joint. If a supplier's reply uses a different wording for the same panel, ask which model and which listing it refers to, and confirm the figures, rather than assuming the wordings match.
Before ordering, confirm the minimum order quantity and lead time for this model. Certificates are available upon request; please ask for the certificate list for this model. Confirm the applicable humidity range for this model by inquiry, as no humidity figure is stated on this site.
